Grand Ol' Christmas Show San Antonio Concert reviews
Even my non-musical husband loved it
The Live 86 piece Royal Philharmonic Orchestra added a new dimension to the already moving and dramatic music of Stars Wars. To some extent, the film clips were rearranged to show the movies in chronological order, enhancing the experience. Anthony Daniels, the fire, smoke, and lasers all contributed to creating a show that captivated everyone's attention. We were seated in the front of the auditorium, overlooking the floor seats, where a diverse audience, from 2-year-olds to the senior set, was completely engrossed. My husband pondered why all live orchestra performances couldn't be paired with a slide show or movie, recognizing the transformative effect of such a fine orchestra on the film. He emphasized that the music of John Williams was instrumental in making Grand Ol' Christmas Show an epic experience.
